The Westgate Tower Condominium has been in Austin since 1964. Situated in Downtown Austin across Colorado St. from the Texas State Capitol, many people in positions in, or related to, government have lived or spent time in the building over the years. The lobby is refined and reflective of the era in which it was designed.

There is a large rooftop deck with sitting area and pool on top of the building. The walls are high around the pool but there are areas to let in a breeze and catch the views. There’s a large gym and 24/7 front desk attendant in the building. Because of when it was built, not all the units have laundry facilities. Some people have incorporated laundry facilities when remodeling units and there is a laundry facility in the building.

The units at the Westgate have large sliding glass door windows with Juliet balconies. They’re situated every seven feet or so in most of the units. They let in lots of light and a nice breeze when the weather is right. Kitchens were often separated in the units but many owners have opened them up.

Westgate Towers location

The location is exceptional. The east side units have gorgeous views of the Capitol. The grass is green all year and the building is lit up at night. Some of the west side units have lovely views of the Hill Country. Situated very near the top of Congress Avenue is your local Starbucks.
